The Hunan Porcelain-Tea Integrated Development and Cultural Tourism Promotion will take place between August 22 and 24 in Changsha, according to a press conference held on August 18.
Five theme activities will be held, including:
--Hunan Porcelain-Tea Integrated Development Conference;
--Anhua and Liling Porcelain-Tea Cultural Tourism Promotion;
--Hunan Porcelain-Tea Artistic Innovation Exhibition;
--Porcelain-Tea Cultural Tourism Development Salon; and,
--Porcelain-Tea Interactivity and Promotion.
The event is hosted by the Hunan Development and Reform Commission, Hunan Culture and Tourism Department, Hunan Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department, Yiyang Municipal People’s Government, Zhuzhou Municipal People’s Government, Anhua County People’s Government, and Liling People’s Government.
The event will officially open to the public from the afternoon of August 22. Counties (district) including Guzhang, Sangzhi, Shimen, Junshan, Yuanling, Chaling, and Baojing will present their tea products. National intangible cultural heritage inheritors and senior arts and crafts masters will invite the audience to make and taste tea, and paint porcelains.
According to the Hunan Culture and Tourism Department, Hunan cultural tourism industry adheres to the development concept of "Cultural Tourism Plus", to boost cross-regional cooperation between Anhua and Liling and promote the integrated development of porcelain, tea, and tourism. Efforts will be made to foster a 100-billion-yuan tea industry in Hunan and lift tea farmers in western Hunan out of poverty. Anhua and Liling will join hands to promote Hunan tea and porcelain abroad and integrate into the "Belt and Road" initiative.
Since the beginning of this year, Anhua and Liling have carried out solid preliminary work and made substantial progress. Eleven dark tea companies in Anhua and fifteen porcelain companies in Liling have reached business cooperation intentions worth more than 300 million yuan. The two cities will jointly issue the "Opinions on Supporting the Integrated Development of Anhua Dark Tea and Liling Porcelain Industry", sign the "Framework Agreement on Promoting Strategic Cooperation between Porcelain Industry and Dark Tea Industry", and establish “sister-city (county-level)” ties.
Anhua and Liling will also jointly hold eight activities, including:
--organize industrial integration development forum;
--establish an industrial brand joint operation center;
--participate in exhibition activities;
--cultivate cross-industry integration demonstration enterprises;
--build an industry joint publicity platform; and,
--issue the annual white paper on industrial integration development.
