The Huanghua Digital Trade Port opened at the Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone on March 19. It is the first digital trade-based sub-zone of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone. The signing ceremony of the first batch of settled enterprises was held simultaneously. A total of 12 key projects were contracted. Seven Hunan provincial universities were granted to jointly build Changsha into a digital trade industry development demonstration base.
The Huanghua Digital Trade Port project is located in the core area of the cross-border e-commerce industrial park in the Area C of Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone. It is close to Changsha Huanghua International Airport. It is a key investment attraction project of the bonded zone in 2020, and it is also an important outcome of the strategic cooperation between the park and 58 Science and Technology Group.
The project will give full play to the policy advantages of the Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone established as a pilot free trade sub-zone, an airport economy demonstration zone, a comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone, and a special customs supervision zone. It will leverage the industrial resources of 58 Science and Technology Group to build "one headquarters, two platforms, and four bases": 58 Science and Technology Group National Cross-border Headquarters；Hunan Provincial Foreign Trade Comprehensive Service Platform and Hunan Provincial Cross-border E-commerce Public Service Platform; Cross-border E-commerce Industry Cluster, Hunan Provincial Industrial Belt Offshore Incubation Base, Internet Celebrity Livestreaming Base, and Hunan Provincial Cross-border E-commerce Talent Training or Industry-Education Integration or Internship Training Base. More than 100 cross-border e-commerce enterprises will be introduced. More than 5,000 targeted personnel in livestreaming, cross-border e-commerce, and innovation fields will be cultivated every year. The efforts will help build Changsha into a digital trade industry development demonstration base and a digital trade industry landmark in the Changsha Area of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Currently the Huanghua Digital Trade Port has introduced more than 20 companies to locate and more than 10 platform service providers, and reached cooperation with 7 Hunan provincial universities. Cross-border e-commerce, digital livestreaming, and talent training services have taken shape.
