Hunan launched a cross-border e-commerce B2B (business to business) export supervision pilot program on September 1. The Changsha Customs announced on October 13 that, Hunan has made a stable operation over the past month, and was among the best performing new pilot regions of the same group. As of September 30, seven enterprises had started up B2B export business, and the customs had handled 1,358 declarations of cross-border e-commerce B2B export, with a total value of more than 23.3 million yuan.
The majority of exported goods include daily use articles, clothes, suitcases and bags, digital accessories, and hardware fittings. The main destinations are Germany, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, the U.S.A, the UK, and China’s Taiwan.
Changsha and other 11 customs were added to the pilot program by the Chinese General Administration of Customs on September 1. According to the Changsha Customs, e-commerce B2B exporters are given support in various forms, including one-off registration, streamlined declarations, expedited clearance at lower costs, as well as prior inspection and customs transit.
An e-commerce exporter in Hunan, one of the first group of pilot enterprises, has been greatly benefited for the convenient B2B export declaration process, and higher customs clearance efficiency. For another e-commerce company, its export business through air transportation is much more convenient and efficient via B2B mode. Taking Changsha-Germany business for instance, one to two hours could be shortened for customs clearance, and the logistics cost could be cut by 2 yuan per kilogram.
