On March 2, Wu Guiying, Standing Committee member of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, vice governor of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, inspected the construction of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area, and presided over a construction promotion meeting.
She stressed that the whole city should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, especially those he made during his inspection tour of Hunan; follow the arrangements and requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; and, assume responsibilities, innovate and work hard, keep a close eye on schedule, raise benchmarks, and promote the construction of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area with greater efforts and faster speed.

The Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area was officially inaugurated on September 24, 2020. In this 79.98-sqm “test field”, the atmosphere of exploration, experimentation, reform and innovation is strong. Changsha China-Europe freight trains ranked first nationwide in train trips, becoming the “steel camel fleets” running crossing the land Silk Road.
Secretary Wu Guiying thanked everyone for their efforts. She called for efforts to pool resources from all sides, improve operation efficiency, and accelerate the building of a highland of reform and opening up in inland areas.
The Sany Science Town project is progressing in full swing. Secretary Wu Guiying encouraged enterprises to speed up project construction with the goal of being “high-end, international, platform-oriented, and convenient”.
During her visit to the Changsha International Conference Center, Secretary Wu Guiying urged the center to further improve fine management level, raise its profile, and be up to international standards.
